Representatives of France’s aviation-space branch have become acquainted with technological capabilities of “UMPO”

The representatives of France’s aviation-space branch’s enterprises have visited JSC “Ufa Engine Plant” (UMPO). The delegation was headed by the Vice-President of the international high-tech group “Safran”, the director on international development Jean-Christophe Cord and possible prospects of cooperation in sphere of gas-turbine engineering was the main goal of this visit.

The public affairs service of JSC “UMPO” reports the acquaintance with the technological potential of “UMPO” Engineering Prototyping Center, foundry and assembling, the only in Russia linear friction welding workshop, the workshop of vacuum technique and with the production of turbine and compressor rotors was included into the visit’s program.

It should be noted that the companies of “Safran” group come out as the partners of the united industrial corporation “OBORONPROM” on various projects, in particular, in production of the engine SAM146 within the frames of the joint venture SNECMA and “NPO Saturn”, equipping of new light helicopters KA-226T with the engines TURBOMECA and on some other projects.
