Alexei Miller: all-Russian center of gas chemistry will be possibly established in Bashkiria

The President of JSC “GASPROM” Alexei Miller has visited Ufa on Thursday, November 18. Within the frames of the visit he has met with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, with whom he was discussing the aspects of the gas-transport system development and social policy in the Republic.

“It is good the leadership of Bashkiria is looking forward” – Alexei Miller mentioned – “In the course of our negotiations with the President RB we highlighted the strategy of the oil-chemical branch development in the region. In particular, the matter was possible constriction of the all-Russian gas chemistry center in Bashkiria”.

According to M-r Miller the Republic has rich experience and traditions in work of the fuel-energy and oil-chemical complexes and the presence of the necessary resources and understanding of the importance of the branch’s development by the leadership RB allow hoping for the good progress in the future.

The President of JSC “GASPROM” has reported the financing of the gasification process in the Republic will be increased. Besides, he has highly estimated the activity of the company “GASPROM-TRANSGAS-UFA”.

“The company “GASPROM-TRANSGAS-UFA” has rather good reputation among “GASPROM” sub-unites and this enterprise makes weighty contribution to the gas-transportation system of the country” – M-r Miller said.

For today the Bashkir sub-unit exploits more than 4700 kilometers of the gas mains, 12 gas-compressor workshops and 148 gas-distribution stations. On October 1 the real gas transportation volumes made up more than 67 billion cubic meters. More than 11,3 billion cubic meters of gas have been delivered for the Republican consumers.

As for the social policy of “GASPROM” in Bashkiria, Alexei Miller has mentioned the activity of the company in this direction will be continued. For the last five year “GASPROM- TRANSGAS-UFA” has built up 13 modern apartment houses with the total area 45 thousand square meters. Thus, the blocks of flats have been put into exploitation in Ufa and Karmaskaly. Thanks to such high building rates more than 800 families improved their living conditions since 2005. New sports centers have been put into operation in Arkaulovo and Karmaskaly. In a whole 11 sports centers and 11 hockey pitches have been erected and put into exploitation by “GASPROM” in the Republic.

“Construction of new sports facilities within the frames of the program “GASPROM – to children” will be continued not just in the interests of the gas branch workers but taking the needs of all citizens RB into account” – Alexei Miler has mentioned.
