Preparation of the strategy for development of agricultural complex till 2020 enters the final stage

Five prior directions in development of agriculture – from improvement of the general conditions in agriculture’s functioning to attraction of investments, development of human capacity and encouragement of scientific activity – are determined in the project of the strategy for development of the Republican agricultural complex till 2020. The project will be introduced to the President of Bashkortostan in the nearest future.

The press-service of the Government RB reports the representatives of the state bodies, scientific organizations and agricultural enterprises have discussed the key aspects of the project at the special meeting, devoted to the structure and prior directions of the strategy. All already available programs on development of the Republican agriculture, launched in the region, were discussed in details in the course of the work over the project: it allowed the specialists to determine the exact need in means, areas, machinery and human resources, necessary for development of the regional priorities in the agricultural branch.

The deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Shamil Vahitov has underscored that in order to solve the aims, set by the President RB and in order to raise the prestige and quality of the agrarian education they have to revise the structure of the existing network of agricultural colleges and technical schools: “Every year our technical schools turn out four thousand graduates but how many of them return to the villages and ready to implement modern technologies? We need the educational institutions, possessing solid material and pedagogical base. Instead of distributing the budget means among great number of such schools, we have to concentrate all resources at the zone technical colleges and every such college should have its own specialization” – the Vice-Premier stated.

In a whole the strategy expected to be oriented to the rise of the overall output and better efficiency of the use of the budget finances. For example, the refusal from the arable lands, giving less than 10 centners from one hectare, will release the funds for other directions in agriculture, including the programs for social development of the Bashkir villages and state backing of young specialists and small business companies in these villages.
