The project of the concept for making the electronic topographic maps is worked up in Bashkiria

Republic of Bashkortostan joined the list of the Russian regions, where the Federal State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Service intended to launch the pilot projects for formation of the regional models of the spatial data infrastructure. The deputy head of the Federal State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Service Dept in Bashkiria Andre Agapov reported about it at the last press-conference in the news agency “Bashinform”. According to him creation of the conditions for wide access of citizens, organizations and the authority to the spatial data and its efficient use is considered the main goal of the project. The spatial database will be under discussion at the special scientific-practical conference, appointed on December 2-3 in Ufa.

The cartographic material on the 1: 10000 and 1:25000 scales, made for the agricultural use within the period between 1973 and 2005, is available in the Republic now. The cartographic information was converted into a digital form for seven regions of Bashkiria.

At present time the project of the concept for making the electronic topographic maps and electronic layouts on the territory RB is worked up for 2010-2015.
