European Quality Week starts on November 8

The European Quality Week starts o November 8 and is dated to the International Quality Day, celebrated on November 11 in 2010. The conference, devoted to achievements in the sphere of quality at the Republican enterprises, will take place in the Ministry of industry and investment policy RB this day. The awarding ceremony for the enterprises – the winners of the contest “100 best goods of Russia”, the winners of the Republican journalist’s contest “For the best coverage of quality subjects in mass-media” and the winners of the student’s contest “The best work in standardization, metrology and certification” will take place within the frames of the forum, the press-service of the Standardization Center RB reports.

For the reference: the International Quality Day is the annual action, celebrated by many countries every second Tuesday of November. It is established by the European Quality Organization with the assistance of the United Nations Organization. For the first time the world public community marked this day in 1989. In 1995 the European Quality Organization announced the week, on which this second November Tuesday fell, the European Quality Week.

The main aim of the International Quality Day is the rise of the quality of goods and services and activation of the activity, aimed at the attraction of attention to the problems of quality.
