There is no African hog cholera in Bashkiria

The African hog cholera still represents a high danger and today’s meeting in the Government RB was dedicated to this theme. At present time the African hog cholera is registered in 37 Russian regions, mainly on the territory of the Southern federal district. There are no such cases in Bashkiria. It is necessary to say the hog cholera isn’t dangerous for people and animals but only for pigs and as the veterinarians say in case of the nidus appearance it is impossible to save the pig livestock.

“The only way is total slaughter of the whole livestock” – the head of the Veterinary Dept RB Vakil Buranbaev reported – “The economic damage in this case is colossal”.

The fact that the hog cholera isn’t yet registered on the territory RB can’t be the reason for relaxation, the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Shamil Vahitov said.

“Now we deliver the fodders for the Republic fr om other Russian regions, including the areas, wh ere the hog cholera is raging. The wild boars for the hunting farms are delivered too” – he mentioned –“The supervisory boards have to check al incoming agricultural freights”.

Shamil Vahitov urged all involved structures to coordinate their efforts in order to prevent the penetration of the hog cholera to our Republic.
