The Eurasian Development Bank is interested in cooperation with Bashkiria

The representatives of the Eurasian development Bank has held a meeting with the employees of the Ministry of industry and innovational policy RB on Monday. The visit to our Republic is caused by the interest of the Kazakh side in the economic potential of the region. The representatives of the bank told about their principles of crediting and investments at the meeting.

The Bank doesn’t intend to open its offices in other Russian cities, except Saint-Petersburg, where the bank’s office is already opened.

When financing this or that project, the bank fixes appoints special project group for the investment project, which as a rule renders assistance to the project’s development. For this the bank has established the technical assistance fund, which can finance the technical and economic assessment of the project too.

The project should have a substantial integrated constituent, i.e. it has to solve the problems not just of an invested region but of region-investor too.

The bank is ready to invest 30-300 million USD to the investment projects. Every project has to be thoroughly examined and analyzed. The bank mainly credits development of small and medium business and the projects, concerned with trade. The crediting is provided through the local commercial banks-agents.

The Eurasian Development Bank isn’t accountable to the National Bank of Russia and works in accordance with the international bank standards.

The Bank has become interested in several projects in Bashkiria, found at the discussion stage now, and in the project “Bashkir Tractor” in particular. In the Soviet times our Republic delivered several thousand tractors for Kazakhstan every year. Now Kazakhstan is interested in recommencement of such deliveries.
