Rustem Khamitov outlined the sore spots of Republican agriculture

Subsidies to producers, subsidizing of the credit interest rates, lowering of the property tax and attraction of investments – these main themes were under discussion in the course of the meeting of the President RB with the heads of 15 Republican agricultural enterprises – the winners of the international agricultural exhibition “Golden Autumn-2010”, held during the today’ presidential trip to Karmaskalinsky region RB.

This time Bashkortostan has again won the first place in Russia at the exhibition by the number of medals – 521.

Rustem Khamitov has mentioned that the number of the medals proves good quality of the Republican agricultural output.

“At the same time it‘s clear we are loosing our positions. Fr om one side the number of the medals demonstrates high potential of our Republic but from another side the competitive environment forces us moving further” – the President said.

He has underscored that for that very strict calculation of the resources and redistribution of the budget means is necessary in order to leave the social budget for real support of agriculture. He has mentioned that the advancement to the market reforms is very poor and it is of high importance for the Republican agricultural complex. “The time of emotional decisions is off and we need a precise program for development of our agriculture, attracting the best Bashkir scientists “– Rustem Khamitov stated.

He has ordered the Ministry of agriculture RB and the Government RB to prepare all materials for the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, wh ere all sore spots, outlined at the meeting, would be considered.
