Arrears of wages in Bashkiria increased up to 82,7 million rubles

The growth of arrears of wages was under discussion at the meeting of the Republican three-sided commission for regulation of social-labor relations.

“Though we registered certain reduction of the volumes of indebtedness in the first half of the year, the arrears of wages started growing again in July” – the commission’ coordinator – the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB Fidus Yamaltdinov said – “At the same time the real debts substantially exceed the official statistical data”.

Though the index of industrial production in the first half of 2010 made up 115,2%, the situation in the Republican labor market remained rather alarming. The level of registered unemployment reduced to 1,7% but 12 thousand people worked in the part-time mode.

“We have to start working over opening new workplaces and over realization of the investment projects in order to make the situation better” – Fidus Yamaltdinov said.

The general level of unemployment in Bashkiria makes up 9%, thus exceeding the average indices in the Volga federal district.
