The agricultural fairs have taken place in Ufa
The agricultural fairs have taken place on 17 squares of Ufa at the last weekends. One of such fairs was opened in front of the Ufa Youth Palace, where the agrarians brought foods on 198 trucks from 30 Republican regions.
Ufa administrations reports the prices for onion, carrot, potato, cabbage and apples were quite obtainable. Along with vegetables and fruits the agrarians offered honey and saplings, seeds and flower tubers for gardeners.
In spite of the drought the meat prices weren’t too different, as compared with the last year. In 2009 the beef prices, for example, were 140-180 rubles for one kilogram on average and in 2010 – about 130-190 rubles but vegetables were more expensive than in 2009.
For citizens of Ufa these fairs represent a good opportunity to provide themselves with foods for the winter season. The autumn fairs will be over on October 31 and traditional winter meat fairs will be held on December 4-26.
