Rustem Khamitov: “UMPO” applies the newest technologies for the most modern aircrafts

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has visited the production sites of JSC “Ufa Engine Plant” (UMPO) today and acquaintance with the new technologies, used by UMPO, with the production of aviation engines and other products of the enterprise was the main goal of his arrival. First the President of Bashkortostan has visited the scientific-production enterprise “Motor”, located on the territory of UMPO and being its key brain center. In September 2010 “Motor” celebrates its 55th anniversary.
Here, on the first site of “UMPO” the new productions, which the Ufa engineers pin the main hopes on, are located: first, this is the vacuum technique workshop, equipped with the units of the company “EBOCAM” (Germany) and with the furnaces “ULVAC” (Japan). The units EBOCAM are meant for electronic-beam welding of stainless, high-temperature and titanium alloys. The vacuum furnaces ULVAC are meant for the thermal treatment of different metals and alloys either in vacuum or in the neutral gas atmosphere (argon).
All this equipment is located on the areas of the former production of motor-car engines “MOSKVITCH”. This territory is reconstructed stage-by-stage and here the helicopter machinery is planned to be produced.
After the end of the visit the President RB has given a short interview to the local press:
“The Ufa Engine Plant is considered one of the flagmen not just of the Bashkir but of the Russian aviation propulsion engineering. This is the most powerful plant, which uses the newest technologies for the most modern aircrafts. The interest in this enterprise is great and its prospects are very promising. From the side of the Government RB we will definitely help UMPO to build up a new infrastructure and for making favorable conditions for life of its workers. We will do everything possible to make this plant better”.
