UMPO begins deliveries of joints for the engine PD-14

JSC “Ufa Engine Plant” (UMPO) delivered the first set of the high-pressure compressor rotor for the engine PD-14 to JSC “AVIADVIGATEL” in Perm. The engine will be installed at the promising short- and medium-range aircraft MC-21.

In accordance with the contract with the Perm enterprise “UMPO” has to produce three high-pressure compressor rotors for the engine's demonstration gas-generator by the end of the year. The first such gas-generator has to be tested in November 2010.

The designing of the civil engines for the short- and medium-range aircrafts MC-21 is considered one of the top priority projects for the “United Engine Corporation” and it is realized in cooperation practically with all enterprises in the staff of this corporation: JSC “AVIADVIGATEL”, JSC “Perm Engine Plant”, JSC “UMPO”, JSC “NPO Saturn”, JSC “Kuznetsov” and JSC “NPP Motor”.
