More than 124 thousand social cards issued in Bashkortostan

Bashkir authority intends to increase the number of holders of the social cards in the Republic by the end of this year, the deputy General Director of the JSC “Bashkir Register of social cards” Boris Lavrov reported at today’s press-conference in Ufa administration.

“At present time the cards are distributed among pensioners and people, having certain preferences, but soon working people will get the cards too” – he reported.

More than 180 thousand applications for manufacturing of the cards are registered in Bashkortostan for today and more than 124 thousand are already issued.

“The social card has several applications” – Boris Lavrov explained – “This is a pay bank card and it includes the discount, medical and transport applications. If a person has money on his bank account, he may acquire goods and services on cashless settlement and the card can be used everywhere, where the cashless payments in the “Master Card” system are accepted”.

At present time one may use the discount application of the card in three big trade networks of the city and the Bashkir authority negotiates this question with other trade networks now. The cashless payment system with the help of the social card can be used in the shops, where the corresponding announcements and the stickers with the image of the social card are available. Besides, the card is served at the medical institutions of the city. In order to use the transport application the holder should appealed to the center of social cards and fill up the account.
