The projects of “UMPO”, designed jointly with the leading Russian institutes, will receive state financing

The projects of JSC “UMPO”, designed jointly with the leading institutes of Russia, will receive state financing. The subsidies in the overall volume of 374 million 400 thousand rubles will be directed to designing of a high-tech science intensive production during three years beginning from 2010.

The “UMPO” PR-department reports the applications, introduced by JSC “UMPO” in cooperation with the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys and the Ufa State Aviation Technical University have won at the open contest of the Ministry of education and science RF. The first project is aimed at designing of the technologies for none-ferrous high-precision casting and the aim of the second one is production of hollow blades with the help of the isothermal friction welding and solid blades with the help of the method of isothermal punching for the gas-turbine engines of a new generation.

The specialists believe the integration of the leading engine plant in Russia and the profiled higher education institutions will become one more step in realization of the innovational approach to production and development of the technological potential in aviation industry of Russia in a whole.
