Bashkiria will purchase potato and vegetables

Lean 2010 left Bashkiria not just without grain but without potato and vegetables too. The Government ordered the municipal authorities to be busy with provision of their budget institutions and population with potato and vegetables self-dependently.

“There will be no any centralized delivery and allocation of budget means for these purposes” – the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Shamil Vahitov said – “Every town and every region of the Republic has to solve these problems with their businessmen independently. The municipal administrations also solve the questions of the deliveries self-dependently. The Bashkir Consumer’s Association and the State Committee for trade and protection of consumer’s rights also won’t stand aside. Till September 1 they have to supply the information to the Republican Government where the potato and vegetables should be purchased and sold out and in what volumes. This work has to be under the severest control. We have only one-two months ahead in order to solve all organization questions and to start the delivery of potato: because the morning frost will begin after and potato transportation will become impossible. We can purchase potato in Altai, in Astrakhan region, in Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. Byelorussia is also ready to sell potato”.

According to Shamil Vahitov only Byelorussia called the price for today: 12,5 rubles for one kilogram without transportation and loading costs. One carriage of potato will cost about 140 thousand rubles. The Russian regions will announce their prices only with the beginning of the harvest.
