The average grain crop capacity in Bashkiria is 8,9 centners from one hectare

On August 18, 2010, the gross milling of grain in Bashkiria made up 722 thousand tons. The grain harvest is completed by 91%. Because of the drought the average grain crop capacity in the region makes up just 8,9 centners from one hectare.
“The highest crop capacity is observed in Chekmagushevsky region of Bashkortostan – 15 centners from one hectare” – the Minister of agriculture RB Azat Ziganshin reported – “14 centners – in Ufimsky region and 13 – in Durtulinsky”
The farmings of 30 Bashkir regions started sowing of winter rye.
“In 2010 we intended to sow the winter rye by 25% more than in 2009, but since we are facing the lack of moisture, the works were slowed down. We hope for the rains in the nearest days” – the Minister of agriculture RB said.
