Vladimir Putin positively estimated the work on struggle with forest fires in Bashkortostan

The Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin positively estimated Republic of Bashkortostan for its undertaken measures on reduction of the number of forest fires and of the losses because of these fires during the teleconference in the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The Chairman of the Government RF mentioned the situation with the forest fires in the country was rather intense but controlled. The overall ignition area in 2010 is almost three times less than in 2009 though the weather conditions are much more severe. At the same time the undertaken measures in several Russian regions weren’t always timely and efficient. Vladimir Putin reminded of the personal responsibility of the chiefs of all levels for the control over the situation and for the efficiency of the undertaken steps. The attention to this problem mustn’t be weakened, the head of the Russian Government underscored.
