Bashkir agrarians prepare themselves for the commodity interventions in the grain market

On August 4 the Russian Ministry of agriculture starts the commodity interventions in the grain market for the Russian regions, having suffered from the drought, the Minister of agriculture RF Elena Skrynnik reported at the selector meeting of the staff for rendering assistance to the agricultural producers, having suffered from the drought.

The grain of the intervention fund will be sold to the organizations, busy with cattle-breeding and poultry-farming and to the flour milling plants. More than three million tons of the fodder grain of the harvest-2005 and the harvest-2008 are subject to be sold out. The grain is located on the elevators in the regions, having suffered from the drought, and in the nearby regions. Earlier the Russian Ministry of agriculture approved the level of initial prices for holding of the commodity interventions in the grain market, corresponding to the prices of its purchases to the intervention fund plus VAT.

Bashkortostan is found in the list of the regions, having suffered from the drought most of all. In this connection the active first deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of agriculture RB Shamil Vahitov ordered Republican processing enterprises and flour milling plants to prepare the documents for participation in the auctions. Big Republican poultry farms and cattle-breeding centers also intend to purchase the fodder grain of the intervention fund.
