Banks are obliged to warn clients about commission fee charging in ATMs

Henceforth the credit organisations are obliged to inform the cardholders about the amount of commission fee charged in an ATM. The warning inscription should appear on the screen of an ATM before the transaction fulfilment with a payment card. The information on the amount of the commission should be recorded also in the receipt of the ATM following the results of the transaction.

The corresponding Federal law «Concerning making amendments to the Articles 13 and 29 of the Federal law «About banks and banking activity» is signed by the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. As the press-service of the Kremlin informs this document was accepted by the State Duma on June 9, 2010 and approved by the Federation Council on June 23.
