FAS of Russia takes measures against unfair competition

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia continues to monitor the situation in the consumer market and reveals every possible infringements.

Thus, for an unfair competition in the commodity market of milk and dairy products FAS of Russia fined on June 24, current year the companies «Love Product» and "Ivmolokoprodukt" for 100 thousand roubles each, the department press-service informs.

Earlier, on March 1, the FAS commission of Russia recognised these companies infringed Item 2 Part 1 Article 14 of the law "Concerning competition protection". The matter is that specifying in on the packing of the goods the term "butter", and also using expressions «natural product», «it is made of natural cow milk» and «without vegetative additives», the companies-infringers mislead consumers concerning consumer properties of the goods. After all, actually this product contains not less than 50 percent of vegetative fats from total fat and accordingly it is not butter.
