The Expert Council considers the problem of power supply for private builders

The next session of the Expert Council on natural monopolies at Administration of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) on Bashkortostan Republic takes place today in the "Bashinform" agency. It is conducted by Zulfira Akbasheva, the Chairman of council, the head Bashkortostan UFAS.

This time experts discuss problem of connecting electric power installations of private developers to electric networks in the region territory. This problem is quite acute which is justified by increased quantity of citizens’ appeals to the republican OFAS.

— In Ufa surroundings and in the countryside private real estate development rapidly develops. Developers address to us saying that connection to networks is inaccessible because of the price, Zulfira Akbasheva said.

This problem is discussed comprehensively together with the representatives of "Bashkirenergo", municipalities, State Committee RB on Tariffs, Administration of Rospotrebnadzor on RB and other interested structures. Each of them has their own understanding of this issue. Thus, "BashRES" LLC faces the following problem - discrepancy between the established payments and actual expenses. Power industry workers under the law are obliged to provide connection of developers to the networks. The payment for technological connection of the applicant is fixed. But the sum does not cover real expenses of power suppliers who bear expenses for construction of networks and capacity increase. "Bashkirenergo" has estimated shortfall in income as half-billion roubles.

Today members of the Expert Council look for ways out of the current situation, noticing that the problem can be solved only at coordination of efforts of all interested parties, including the Government of the Republic and "BashRES" LLC.
