Specialists from Saint-Petersburg are interested in the opportunities of the techno-park of aviation technologies, working at UMPO

The possibility to use the heat-resistant coatings for the details of the turbines was considered in the course of the work meeting between the specialists of JSC “KLIMOV” with the representatives of JSC “UMPO”.

As the enterprise reports, “The techno-park of aviation technologies”, where the specialists of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University (UGATU) work with UMPO specialists in sphere of designing the nano-coatings, testing them in the conditions of industrial production, was the main spot in the program of the visit of the guests from Saint-Petersburg.

According to UGATU Professor Anatoly Smyslov here the technology of ionic implantation in the combination with the multiple-layer nano-structural coating, applied at the vacuum units, is used. In particular, certain steps for protection of the blades of the compressor and turbines for the newest helicopter engines are indicated.

The specialists from Saint-Petersburg have highly evaluated the chances of business cooperation in this sphere. In opinion of the chief metallurgist of JSC “KLIMOV” Eugene Skvortsov the JSC “UMPO” possesses quite serious technological base for designing of various combined coatings, stable to hostile environments and having good heat resistance.
