President RB has become acquainted with production modernization at JSC “SALAVATSTEKLO”

The President RB Murtaza Rakhimov has attended JSC “SALAVATSTEKLO” today. He inspected the workshop for production of sheet glass and became acquainted with modernization of production of sodium silicate and with the nearest investment plans of the enterprise.

The new line for production of high-quality glass was put into operation here in 2008. The new line is capable to manufacture about 500 tons of glass per day with the thickness from 2 to 12 millimeters. The plant mainly uses the local raw materials.

Murtaza Rakhimov has become acquainted with the full technological cycle: from cutting to packaging of the glass. All processes are automated and manual labor is reduced to a minimum. The head of the region has also visited the new workshop for production of sodium silicate, manufactured by the plant since 1964. The new workshop was erected in 2008. Now the sodium silicate is produced with the help of the dry method and there are no analogues to this production anywhere else in Russia. At present time the plant covers about 70% of the Russian market of dissoluble sodium silicate.

Talking to the leadership of the enterprise the head of the Republic was interested in the nearest investment plans. At present time the plant is preparing the production capacities for manufacturing of energy-saving double-glazing units. The equipment for the new production will be purchased in Germany. The own means of the enterprises are the source of financing and the new production line will be able to manufacture up to four million square meters of double-glazing units annually. The plant’s authority hopes this output will face high demand, since these units are necessary both for the mass multi-storied construction as well as for the low-height one.
