Substantial financing of the public road network is planned in 2011

“Today we’ve put forward the proposal to the President RB to reduce the construction of social objects in 2011 and to send the main sum to maintenance and repair of the municipal and Republican roads” – the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev reported to the parliamentarians at today’s gathering of the State Council-Kurultay-RB.

Answering the question of the deputies concerning the repair of the rural roads, the Prime-Minister answered that though the state of our roads gave rise to severe criticism, there was no possibility to cover the existing needs at present time.

“We need at least 5,7 billion rubles just for the rural roads and 12,5 billion for the Republic in a whole” – Rail Sarbaev said – “And we’ve approved the sum of just 1 billion 49 million rubles, including 233 million – for the repair of rural highways and about 333 million for the maintenance of these highways”.
