River navigation-2010 is open in Bashkortostan

Solemn ceremony of the beginning of the navigation season-2010 has taken place at the river port of Ufa with the participation of the Minister of building, architecture and transport RB Ravil Ibatullin, General Director of JSC “Bashkir River Steamship Line” Ravil Nafikov, veterans of the Bashkir river fleet, cadets of the Ufa river college and numerous guests.

The navigation-2010 is open in the scheduled time and the fleet as well as the supplements is completely ready.

“In 2010 we intend to transport more than 145 thousand passengers and one million 100 thousand tons of various cargoes” – Ravil Nafikov reported.

The Bashkir river steamship line possesses the fleet of self-propelled and non-self-propelled water-crafts, including passenger motor ships, the motor-ships of the “river-sea” class, freighters and auxiliary ships. The cargo transportations are accomplished on the local lines and on the rivers of Kama and Volga. Besides, the steamship line accomplishes the river cruises along the rivers Belya, Kama and Volga to Astrakhan, Perm, Kostroma, Kazan, Moscow and other cultural centers of Russia.
