“UMPO” faces good prospects for production of helicopter engines

The meeting, devoted to development of helicopter engineering in Russia, has taken place in Ufa at JSC “Ufa Engine Plant” (UMPO). The meeting was held with the participation of the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev, the deputy Minister of defense RF Vladimir Popovkin and the General Director of the united state corporation “OBORONPROM” Andre Reus.

“Bashkortostan is chosen the site for holding of such important meeting not accidentally” – the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev said – “There are many dynamically developing defense enterprises in the Republic and thanks to joint activity of the Republican and federal structures the crisis practically hadn’t an effect on these companies. We are ready to discuss new variants in activity of our plants, including helicopter engineering”.

The question concerning possible production of helicopter engines at JSC “UMPO” has become one of the key moments at the meeting. The plant faces good prospects, which have to be discussed in the nearest future.
