Ufa actively builds houses and social objects

564 thousand square meters of housing were constructed and put into service last year. 60 thousand square meters were built in the first quarter of 2010. According to Ilyas Munirov, the head of the Department for capital construction of Ufa Administration, individual developers made the largest contribution to the total amount of housing production.

Apart from residential houses, a whole number of social objects were put into service in 2009.

"The branch of children's polyclinic in Sipailovo micro district, the surgery unit of the City Clinical Hospital N21 and others are among them," Ilyas Munirov said. "Many schools and kindergartens started to work after the reconstruction and capital repairs."

Ilyas Munirov noted that due to the crisis there are a lot houses, which do not meet the deadlines to be put into service. One of the reasons for freezing is the refusal of the banking systems to issue loans and unavailability of mortgage for people. In order to find a way out of the situation the RB Government came to the decision to finance the construction of utility systems of the multi-storey houses. This will provide an additional impulse to the construction. 620 thousand square meters of housing are going to be built in Ufa during the current year.
