The Icelandic volcano failed to paralyze the work of Ufa airport

The active Icelandic volcano with the hardly pronounceable name paralyzed the air space of 23 European countries. Fortunately, it didn’t stop the work of the international airport “Ufa”.

“All flights are running according to the plan” – the head of Ufa airport marketing service Tagir Mukhametschin reports – “And no serious changes in work of the airport are expected too. The only thing is that the number of the transit flights, i.e. for those who leave Ufa for Moscow to go further to Europe, came down”.

Several other Russian airports had to correct the flight timetables for their international routes – in particular it concerned Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg.

At the same time scientists say the Icelandic volcano isn’t going to cease in the nearest future. The giant ash and dust cloud covered almost the whole of Europe. The air companies loose 200 million dollars every day and meteorologists don’t make optimistic forecasts too – because of gentle breeze and high pressure the cloud of volcano ash won’t disperse soon.
