New building technologies allow lowering power consumption

The scientific-practical conference “Power efficient buildings: construction, reconstruction and exploitation” has taken place in Ufa today within the frames of the specialized exhibition “Everything for construction and repair”.
“More than 90% of the residential constructions in Bashkortostan are built up according to the old norms of heat consumption” – the doctor of technical sciences Vadim Bobkov reported – “These constructions are abundantly inefficient. Now the new norms are coming in and heat consumption should be reduced by 40%. It is quite real with the new technologies. Moreover, these technologies allow us to achieve even higher economy and power inputs can be reduced to the level of the western countries with the similar climate”.
The participants of the conference were talking about modern materials, climatic systems and industrial innovations, used in construction. In particular, the theme of the usage of so-called heat-efficient walls was raised. According to m-r Bobkov six variants of such walls are worked up in Bashkortostan now.
The post-graduate of the Ufa State Oil Technical University Nikita Timopheev made the report about realization of the programs for rehabilitation of the old residential constructions in the Republic. As he reported, the majority of the tenements, erected in Bashkortostan in 50s-80s, have various external damages in many respects because of moisture impact and violations during the civil and erection works.
“In the nearest future these constructions can become dangerous” – the reporter stated – “in accordance with the reconstruction program these tenements are subjected to the major repair”.
