Andre Kostin: “VTB-Bank intends to double the crediting of Bashkir enterprises”

As the news-agency “Bashinform” already reported, the delegation of VTB-Bank with its President Andre Kostin at the head has visited Ufa on March 26. At the news-conference with the journalists the head of VTB-Bank Andre Kostin stated that Republic of Bashkortostan stood in the Top 10 of Russian regions, being of the highest interest for the bank and first of all in the sphere of crediting of the regional economics and local enterprises.

The cooperation between Bashkortostan and VTB-Bank started 7 years ago. At present time 13 offices of the bank work on the territory RB and its client database includes more than 740 corporate clients, representing all business branches.

In 2008-2009 the bank continued to raise the share of its financial participation in the economics of our region and gave credits to the local enterprises for the sum of more than 26 billion rubles.

The bank finances such Bashkir enterprises as JSC “UMPO”, JSC “POLYEF”, JSC “SALAVATNEFTEORGSINTEZ” and others and, for example, for such enterprise as JSC “UMPO” the credits of VTB-Bank helped to preserve its production in its time. Moreover, the President of VTB says the cooperation with this plant is to be continued. The industrial potential of JSC “POLYEF” also gives no grounds to have any doubts in the prospects of the company.

At present time the bank intends to enlarge the list of its clients and to widen the sphere of crediting. Thus, the delegation of the bank held the meetings with the representatives of retail trade, the owners of local filling stations and the heads of Bashkir agricultural enterprises during the visit to Ufa. Till the end of 2010 the bank intends to increase the volumes of crediting for the Bashkir enterprises from 12 billion rubles at present time to 30 billion in the nearest future.

“The bank intends to raise the volumes of financing for the Bashkir enterprises in spite of rather uneasy economic situation. By the end of 2010 we intend to increase the crediting share of VTB up to 10% and at that we figure on the support of our initiatives from the leadership of the Republic” – Andre Kostin stated.
