JSC “UMPO” starts exploitation of the second turn of the equipment for linear friction welding

JSC “UMPO” finished the assembling of the MDS unit for linear friction welding, made by the company ACB (France). The first launch of the unique equipment has been successfully done on March 2 in the presence of the General Director of JSC “UMPO” Alexander Artukhov and the President of the company ACB Philippe Guyon.

“This event has beautifully concurred with the official opening of the Year of Russia in France” – Philippe Guyon said – “And if talking about cooperation of not just our countries but our companies too we are facing much work and the interesting future ahead”.

The news-service of “UMPO” reports the contract for delivery of ACB industrial equipment for JSC “UMPO” is signed in 2008. The unit PDS, delivered for the plant in accordance with the first stage of the contract and meant for welding of the experimental samples, made of metal alloys, is working at the plant since April 2009.
