Alexander Artukhov: “Modernization of production is one of the prior aims in machine-building

“Manufacturing of the engines for the fighters of the fifth generation, which JSC “UMPO” is working over jointly with other Russian enterprises within the frames of the “United Propulsion Engineering Corporation”, is one of the prior aims, set before our machine-building by the Message of the President RB. I’m certain the available human potential, innovational technologies and modern equipment will allow us to cope with this aim” – the General Director of JSC “UMPO” Alexander Artukhov said, commenting the annual Message of President RB to the State Council-Kurultay-RB – “The fighters of the fifth generation have to outline the character of the Russian Air Forces in the nearest future”.

As it is known, the first test flight of such fighter has successfully taken place this year and it once again proves the correctness of the course towards modernization, undertaken by “UMPO”, because modernization is defined in the Message as one of the most important vectors in the strategy of Bashkortostan’s development.
