The contest for the best coverage of the all-Russian population census-2010 is announced in the country

The contest for the best coverage of the all-Russian population census-2010 is announced in the country and it will e held in all federal districts. The main aim of the contest is to explain the importance and actuality of the forthcoming census to citizens RF and attract as many people as possible to participation in it.

The contest is organized by “Media Union” and the organizers consider the contest is necessary not just for encouragement of the best journalists. With its help they have to inform people about this immense project because all citizens of the country have to be involved in it and the contest has to contribute to that.

The contest is held as one stage without preliminary elimination step and all materials about the census, published within the period from January 1 to October 30, 2010, are welcomed. The works will be estimated at five nominations: the best census coverage by the regional printed edition; by the regional radio-station, the regional online media, the regional TV-channel and one more nomination is the best material of a journalist of a regional printed edition. The bonus fund will make 4,3 million rubles and the results of the contest will be announced before November 30, 2010.
