6,5 tons of foodstuffs have been rejected as defective in Bashkortostan in 2009

The Bashkortostan’s division of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights has rejected 1077 low-quality and dangerous lots of foods and raw materials in 2009 and the total weight of the defective products made about 6,5 tons – mainly poultry and poultry products, mineral waters, bakeries and confectionaries, meat and meat products. Besides, the inspectors have rejected 330 liters of imported strong drinks.
By the totals of the check-ups more than 5 thousand units of low-quality nonfoods for the sum of almost 7 million rubles have been withdrawn from circulation.
