JSC “UMPO” forecasts increase of commodity output

According to preliminary data the commodity output at JSC “Ufa engine plant” (UMPO) in 2009 made more than 18 billion rubles (by 9% more than in 2008 in comparable prices) and the increase of labor efficiency was one of the main aims of the last year. For the accounting period the working-up per one worker increased by 27% as compared with 2008.

JSC “UMPO” has exported 82,3% of its output and India and Algeria were the main customers, the news-service of “UMPO” reported.

“2009 turned out to be rather hard for us but we’ve managed to reach the main aims” – the General Director of JSC “UMPO” Alexander Artukhov said – “After unprofitable 2008 we plan to start running without losses now”.
