300 days left till all-Russian population census

300 days sharp left till the beginning of the all-Russian population census. The Bashkir State Statistics Committee reports it will be held on October 14-25, 2010, under the slogan “Russia needs everyone!”

Population census is not just an internal affair of the state, which holds it because the results of national censuses are compared with each other and the key results are included into the world population census, held in accordance with the UNO program. This international organization declared census an original incentive of the political life of a society.

The database for population of the whole globe will be composed. In 2010 the population census will be held in more than 70 countries, including the USA, Mexico, Brazil, China, Afghanistan and Pakistan. In Europe the census will be held in such countries as Austria, Finland, Switzerland and Albania. Population will be counted in Mongolia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and in many other countries. The census is the international job because the needs of modern societies have much in common and don’t depend upon national peculiarities, political systems and geography, natural and climatic conditions.

The census-2010 will allow understanding the need of Russian regions in labor resources. It will determine the necessity either to raise or reduce the free vacancies at Russian institutes and will show the real structure of population employment. The census will influence upon the state policy in struggle with unemployment and all that is very important especially under the terms of the economic crisis. The census will help to find out the sources of people’s livelihood and thus will influence upon the volumes of state aid for people with low incomes.

It is interesting that every person will spend only 15 minutes on average for taking part in the census but this action will influence upon the next decade of life of the whole state. Many state programs in different spheres of economic and public life are meant for 10 years and in other cases 10 years is the deadline for summing up the first results of the program. 2010 completes the first decade of a new century.
