The visit of Volga federal district’s delegation to Minsk consolidated cooperation between Bashkortostan and Belarus

The visit of Volga federal district’s delegation to Republic of Belarus, dated to the 10th anniversary of the unity state establishment between Russia and Belarus, served consolidation of economic, scientific and cultural bonds between Bashkortostan and Belarus, the Minister of building, architecture and transport RB Ravil Ibatullin reported.
The staff of the delegation, headed by the Plenipotentiary of Russian President in Volga federal district Gregory Rapota, consisted of about 20 people and along with the representatives of our Republic included the heads of Kirov, Orenburg regions, Udmurtia and representatives of Penza, Samara, Nizhniy Novgorod regions, Chuvashia and Tatarstan.
Along with the officials the heads of the big plants of the regions in the staff of Volga federal district came to Minsk too. The staff of the business delegation RB, headed by Ravil Ibatullin, included the chairman of the Trade-Business Chamber RB Sergey Efremov, the Vice-President of the Academy of sciences RB Asgat Gumerov, General Director of Ufa airport Salavat Kutushev, General Director of JSC “Bashkir trolley-bus plant” Said Zakirov, General Director of the company “STERLITAMACSKY AGROTECHSERVICE” Ramil Bagautdinov and the heads of several other Bashkir companies.
“The visits to the Minsk’s plant “BELCOMMACH”, the tractor plant and the motor-car plant in Minsk turned out to be the most useful for us” – Ravil Ibatullin said – “We outlined joint interests in sphere of tractor and tram machinery production with the Byelorussian party. In the nearest future we intend to establish a joint venture for assembly of tractors in Ufa on the base of the Bashkir trolley-bus plant.
Representatives of Bashkir delegation signed the agreement about mutually beneficial cooperation and partnership between the Academy of sciences RB and the National Academy of sciences of Byelorussia. The agreement anticipates joint investigations in sphere of humanitarian, technical and natural sciences.
Presentation of Volga federal district innovational potential has taken place at the National Library of Byelorussia in Minsk. The business contact exchange was solemnly opened in the exhibition center “BELEXPO” and more than 100 Byelorussian enterprises participated in it. On December 3 the exhibition of Volga federal district painters “Big Volga” was solemnly opened in Minsk, where more than 360 pictures were introduced, including the works of Bashkir painters.
The meeting with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has become one of the key moments of the visit.
“In the course of this meeting we were discussing further ways of economic and cultural cooperation between our countries as well as the political processes in Europe and CIS” – Ravil Ibatullin reported.
The members of the delegation also held the meeting with the Prime-Minister of Belarus Sergey Fedorsrky and discussed possible cooperation in sphere of science, technique and nanotechnologies with him. In the course of the meeting with Sergey Fedorsky the cooperation agreements between Byelorussia and Mordvinia, Udmurtia and Orenburg region were signed. The similar agreement between Byelorussia and Bashkortostan was signed still in 1999 during the visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Bashkortostan.
The nearest return visit of Byelorussians to Bashkortostan is expected in January 2010 and it is planned to date it to opening of assembly production of Minsk tractors in Sterlitamac. It is expected the Byelorussian delegation will be headed by the Minister of architecture and building of Belarus Alexander Seleznev.
