Bashkir grain-growers raise the share of elite seeds in rotation of crops

Elite seeds made 8% in the overall volume of seeds of grain and leguminous cultures for harvest-2009. For the last years this index stably grows up. In some regions of Bashkortostan the share of elite seeds substantially exceeds the average Republican figures. Thus, the farmings of Aurgazinsky, Bakalinsky, Baltachevsky and several other regions RB put 9-37% of elite seeds to crop rotation.

The share of mass reproduction seeds reduced from 5% in 2008 to 2% in 2009. On November 15 352 thousand tons of seeds of grain and leguminous cultures was prepared for the spring sowing in 2010.
