Bashkortostan is one of the leaders in the rate of ecological and economical efficiency

The Independent Ecological Rate Agency (NERA) published the results of the rate of ecological and economical efficiency in regional economical structures. In 2009 the heads of 76 Russian regions have introduced the information for composition of the rate.

The principle of the rate composition is based on the usage of exclusively qualitative indicators, which have been altered in all regions. The independent experts gave their conclusions about completeness and reliability of the data concerning the energy balances of the regions, the influence upon environment and the data on protection of natural ecological systems and the species, included into the Red Books. For the comparison of the regions the experts studied the indices on power intensity and ecological costs in production of the gross internal product, ecological and power-engineering safety in economical activity, situation with environment and efficiency of nature-protecting administration.

The leaders among Russian regions were called by the sum of the places the regions managed to win in the intermediate rates.

Thus, Bryansk region possesses the most well-balanced nature management system, environmental and energy usage system. Bashkortostan stands in the second place in the rate. Further Republic of Tatarstan goes on the third place, Kaluga region is on the fourth place and Kabardino-Balkaria is on the fifth place.
