“Beeline” launches 3G-networks in all Russian regions

JSC “VYMPELCOM” (“Beeline”) announced the completion of the next work stage on launching its 3G-networks all over Russia.
In accordance with the license for supply of the third generation communication services the operator took the obligation to launch communication services on the territories of 86 Russian regions by November 21, 2009. At present time the 3G “Beeline” networks are present in 112 Russian cities.
Wireless internet access with the help of either “Beeline” USB-modems or with the help of mobile phones is considered one of the most demanded services in 3G networks. As the news-service of the company reports, 12% of the operator’s subscribers in Russia use the mobile phones with 3G support and in Moscow this index is equal to 16,15%. “Beeline” successfully sells USB-modems for the second year successively and more than one million contracts were sold out already in the first year from the moment of the sales’ beginning.
