Check-up of oil spill prevention and liquidation system is held in Bashkortostan

The check-up of the oil spill prevention and liquidation system started in Bashkortostan. The special commission, headed by the deputy head of the federal territorial support department under Russian Emergencies Ministry Sergey Ostakh will be working in the Republic from November 11 to November 13.

The meeting of the Governmental commission RB on emergency situations and fire safety provision, dedicated to work of the commission in our region and planning of the arrangements on liquidation and prevention of oil and oil products spills has taken place in Ufa today, November 11. Sergey Ostakh pointed to the efficiency of the arrangements, held by Government RB jointly with Ufa refineries in sphere of safety provision.

“Today we see these changes, which occur in Bashkortostan in sphere of emergency alertness and in sphere of technological discipline of oil-processing productions” – Sergey Ostakh said – “And if comparing your region with other Russian regions, we may observe positive dynamics in this sphere and growing understanding of social responsibility in combination with the elements of the technological discipline”.

Within the frames of its work the special commission acquaints itself with those wrecking teams in the Republic, which are considered a part of the alertness system. The commission will work with the oil companies too, in particular with JSC “SALAVATNEFTEORGSINTEZ” and JSC “TRANSNEFT”.
