Shamil Vahitov: we have to master the market of cooled meat
It is necessary to start mastering the markets of cooled meat, the first deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of agriculture RB Shamil Vahitov said today at the seminar in Ufa.
“Cooled meat costs from 600 to 1000 rubles for one kg and the steak part – up to 1600 rubles” – Vahitov said – “These are the prices in Moscow. In Ufa cooled meat is sold out too. We have to investigate this market thoroughly. Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other big Russian cities are the main consumers of this product”.
The Vice-Premier is certain that the most favorable conditions for development of meat cattle-breeding are created in Bashkortostan. This branch is supported at the state level and it is quite real for Bashkortostan to seize its own niche in this segment of the Russian food market.
