“ITALBASHKERAMIKA” will become a joint venture with restored production

Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev visited the company “ITALBASHKERAMIKA” – one of the problematic enterprises of the town of Oktyabrsky today. He was accompanied by his deputy, Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov and Minister of land and property relations RB Oleg Klinsky.

The enterprise started working in May 2003 and produced ceramic tile with various coating. The available equipment allows using the whole range of decorative coatings in production of ceramic tiles.

The output volumes of the plant made up about 3000 square meters of tile daily but the world crisis damaged the activity of the company.

For today the plant is shutdown and it has heavy debts before local budgets of all levels. In November 2008 the company was declared bankrupt. It will be sold by auction. As Rail Sarbaev mentioned, the Republic intends to redeem it. Negotiations with the company “LASSSELBERGER” ran in parallel. In particular, Rail Sarbaev has held negotiations with the President of the company Joseph Lasselberger. As Rail Sarbaev underscored in the course of negotiations, President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov set the task to launch the enterprise at full swing. After the auction it will most likely become a joint venture with two owners – Bashkortostan and the holding “Lasselberger”.
