Uri Pustovgarov: international cooperation is the deposit for stable development of the region

Bashkortostan is considered one of the leading industrial and agricultural regions in Russian Federation. The competitiveness of the production, manufactured by the enterprises of the region, makes Bashkortostan a promising partner in international and interregional cooperation. The deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov told about economic cooperation of the Republic with foreign countries and Russian regions in the interview to the journal “Regions of Russia”.
- Dear Uri Leonidovitch, please, tell us what regions of Russia and foreign countries the economic relations of Bashkortostan are developed best of all with?
- Republic of Bashkortostan actively develops trade-economic relations with more than 100 countries. Many foreign countries stand in the Top10 of leaders by the volumes of external trade with our Republic, such as Netherlands, Czechia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Finland, the USA and China. At that the largest volumes of export products are delivered to Netherlands, Czechia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Finland, Ukraine, Italy, India and China and Uzbekistan, Germany, Italy, China, France, Belgium, Ukraine, the USA, Brazil and Republic of Korea are in the lead by the import volumes. Bashkortostan maintains trade-economic relations with 80 Russian regions, including 51 regions on the contractual basis. Our relations are developed most of all with Chelyabinsk, Orenburg regions, Republic of Tatarstan, Sverdlovsk, Samara and Moscow regions, with Udmurt Republic, Tyumen, Nizhniy Novgorod regions and with cities of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. The highest volumes of the Republican output are exported to Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, to Tatarstan, Moscow region, Udmurt Republic, Samara, Tyumen and Orenburg regions, to the city of Moscow and to Tambov region. The nearby industrial regions, such as Chelyabinsk and Samara regions, Republic of Tatarstan, Nizhniy Novgorod region, Perm, Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo and Leningrad regions are the main purveyors of products to Republic of Bashkortostan.
