All-Russian scientific conference on plant cultivation started working in Ufa today

The all-Russian scientific-practical conference: “Winter rye: selection, seed-farming, technologies and processing” started working in Ufa today on the base of the Bashkir scientific-research agriculture institute. Well-known scientists from Russian Academy of agricultural sciences, scientific-research institutes of Russia and CIS and other specialists of agriculture are taking part in its work. Such aspects as methods, directions and results of selection and seed-farming and the usage of modern technologies in production and processing of winter rye are under discussion at the conference. President RB Murtaza Rakhimov sent his complimentary address to participants of the conference. “Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the leading agrarian regions of the country and thanks to purposeful and hard work the agricultural complex has become one of the leading branches in Republican economics. We introduce modern technologies on production and processing of agricultural production and actively develop agrarian science. Further rise of plant cultivation efficiency in many respects depends upon activity of our selectionists. Two selection centers on plant cultivation and fruit and berry crops are established and successfully work in Bashkortostan. Selection and seed-farming, enlargement of the sowing areas are the inseparable links for stable supply of population RB with foodstuffs.

I am sure this large forum will contribute to further development of the agricultural complex of the whole of Russia and valuable experience in sphere of winter rye selection, cultivation and processing will be successfully realized on the fields of our Republic as well as in other regions of Russian Federation”.
