Uniform social tax will be changed by social payments

Russian State Duma passed the bill in the first reading, according to which the uniform social tax has to be replaced by insurance payments into the budgets of obligatory pension and obligatory medical insurances since January 1, 2010. Minister of health protection and social development RF Tatiana Golikova says by January 1, 2010, Russian Pension Fund has to complete the preparations for taking the function of insurance payments administration upon itself.

Chairman of Russian Pension Fund Anton Drozdov says the Fund started active preparation for realization of the administration function still at the stage of the bill preparation. “At present time we have the approved plan of actions and special work group on preparation for the administration function”.

Within the frames of administration function on insurance payments for obligatory pension and obligatory medical insurances the office of Russian Pension Fund in Bashkortostan has to organize corresponding interaction with more than 220 thousand insured persons. The number of insured persons, registered in the regional database, makes up four million 12 thousand.
