Representatives of Canadian Embassy in Russia determined wishful priorities in cooperation with Bashkortostan
The prior directions, within which frames Bashkir-Canadian economic relations could be successfully developed, were determined in the course of the negotiations between the representatives of Canada Embassy in Russian Federation and leadership of Ministry of external economic relations, trade and business RB.
“Bashinform” has already reported that the Plenipotentiary Minister, Canada Embassy advisor on commercial issues Stephen Miller and the advisor on business development Peter Teslenko stay in Ufa with reconnaissance visit.
“Our visit’s goal is to get to know your Republic, your region and your potential from the point of view of cooperation with our country better” – M-r Miller said – “Several Canadian companies cooperate with enterprises RB and we’d like to go further, developing contacts between us and for that we have to consider all possibilities to expand the range of our mutual interests”.
On the basis of earlier performed analysis the guests have indicated several most interesting directions. First, Canada is ready to start deliver Canadian equipment for Bashkir oil-gas enterprises. Second, cooperation in agriculture is also able to give good results. For example, there is a possibility to export agricultural machinery to the Republic and to work jointly in sphere of cattle-breeding. The third direction is low housing building.
Minister of external economic relations, trade and business RB Boris Kolbin told the guests about needs of Republican economics and about state support of large investment projects. In his opinion Canadian experience can be also useful for the Republic in sphere agricultural stuff processing and overripe timber processing.
