Bashkir band AY YOLA has become an ambassador for Asia's largest cultural and sporting event—the 2026 World Nomad Games.
The World Nomad Games will be held from August 31 to September 6 in the Kyrgyz Republic. This event brings together sport, culture, and the intangible heritage of nomadic peoples, attracting thousands of guests worldwide.
"We believe that tradition is not the past, but a movement forward. Through music, through culture, through shared rhythm, we are pleased to be part of this great international journey. Our work is based on the ancient Bashkir epic poem "Ural-batyr." Through music, we speak about the values of Bashkir culture, the memory of our ancestors, and the connection between humanity and the land. For us, this is not an image or a stylization, but a living tradition that continues to resonate today," say the band's musicians.
