Fans in Uzbekistan warmly welcomed the song "Homay" by the Ufa band.
The Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan awarded musicians from the Ufa band AY YOLA honorary medals. The band performed at the "Stars of the New Uzbekistan" national awards ceremony held in Tashkent.
"This is our fourth visit to Tashkent in the last ten months. It's especially nice to come here in winter- Tashkent is covered in snow and reminds us of our native Ufa. True, temperatures here drop to -30°C, while here it's only -2°C, but that doesn't diminish the joy of our stay. Our work is based on the ancient epic poem "Ural-Batyr." You all know our song "Homay." It's a symbol in Uzbekistan as well. We are very pleased that it was so warmly received here. "Today we are especially proud to have received such awards," said band member Ruslan Shaikhitdinov.
It was previously reported that the producer of the Bashkir band AY YOLA received a diploma from the "Song of the Year" festival.
