Ufa Circus reconstruction will begin in 2026.

The reconstruction of the Ufa State Circus will be the most anticipated project of 2026. The renovations will take three years. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ural Kilsenbaev, clarified that 869.4 million rubles are planned for the first year.

As a reminder, the Ufa Circus was closed in 2017, and the building was declared unsafe. The republic funded the reconstruction project and asked the Russian government to transfer the building to the region. During a meeting with the President of Bashkortostan, the Head of Bashkortostan appealed to Vladimir Putin for assistance.

Circus reconstruction issues were also discussed in November 2025 during a meeting between Radiy Khabirov and Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova. We previously reported that the Ufa Circus reconstruction project had been approved by the Russian Federation's Main State Expertise Authority.
